Jessica Wilson, 763-5275 (AMERICAN FORK, Utah) - The American Fork Irrigation Project Team will be holding a pressurized irrigation public open house on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 to show the public how to set up the new irrigation system. There will be no formal presentation but there will be a special hands-on demonstration for residents to learn how to connect to the new system. The open house will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at Dan Peterson Elementary, 169 North 1100 East, American Fork. Project team members will be available to answer questions. Citizens will be able to view various displays in order to gain more information about the project. According to John Schiess, Horrocks Engineering project manager, project team members can help answer questions about project background, goals and commitments, project schedule and the public outreach plan. Information about proposed culinary and secondary user rates, construction detours, access issues and plans, maps of the project area and filter stations, designs, water conservation efforts, shareholder information, cross contamination prevention and service providers will also be available.
