For Immediate Release June 14, 2007 (PROVO, Utah) - Capital Community Bank (CCB) has been named one of Independent Community Bankers of America’s (ICBA) top performing community banks of 2006. As well as being named an ICBA top performer, CCB was also recently recognized by the ABA Banking Journal, who listed CCB as tenth in nation for banks $100,000,000 to $1 billion (ROA), and the Bauer Financial Report who ranked CCB a Five-Star bank on a one to five scale. “It is great to be recognized for our efforts in making community banking a success,” Harley Jacobs, president of Capital Community Bank, said. “Serving the community is important to us at CCB and this honor is a compliment to that service.” The ICBA top performing community banks are chosen from among ICBA members and are based on the year-end performances of individual institutions, by evaluating asset size and ownership type. CCB was evaluated on both one return on assets (ROA) return on equity (ROE). CCB was named the number one return on assets (ROA) subchapter C bank (banks with $100 million to $250 million in assets) and the number three ROE subchapter C bank (banks with $100 million to $250 million in assets). When searching for the industry’s top performers last year, ICBA Independent Banker grouped ICBA members by their Subchapter S corporation and Subchapter C corporation filing status, then further separated banks into five different asset-size categories. The lowest assets in the five categories are banks with $50 million or less, and the highest is banks with $500 million or more. Capital Community Bank was in the $100 million to $250 million in assets category. The complete list of the top performing community banks was published in the June issue of IBCA Independent Banker Magazine. Founded in 1993, Capital Community Bank provides banking services to Utah County through four full-service offices in Orem, Provo Pleasant Grove, and Salem.
